About Us
So everyone buys things. Whether money burns a hole in your pockets, or you are picking pennies off the ground, you still buy things from time to time. One thing that we always found annoying was that consumer reviews are NEVER consistent. There was a time when a member of our team bought a television that had 3 reviews:
“Best television I have ever seen and I will always stay with this brand – 9.5/10”
“I despise this TV. The sound is too loud and the picture never comes in well. 1/10”
“It’s ok for the money. I would go a different route if I had to buy it again 6/10”
THANKS for the reviews… Now, what are you supposed to do after reading those reviews? Hmmm, is it good or bad? Sure, if you’re somewhat of a subject matter expert, you can read all the technical specs, any expert reviews on CNET, but you still don’t really know anything about the reviewer. The light bulb exploded and the mouse ran off the wheel, let’s create a user friendly social network that not only gives product reviews, but also links product reviews to different types of people.
You can find your spending match and see what they think about stuff you own. If they don’t own something yet, you can send them a message to see if they have any other knowledge about a specific product. We as consumers are sold on market scams, false advertisements, and name brand reputations constantly. Whether your pockets have holes in them, or your piggy bank is full, Burning Pockets' goal is to work to provide consumers with an open forum which will enable them to spend their money more wisely.
